A month has passed since Google CEO and co-founder Larry Page announced structure changes at the top levels of the company.  To go with these changes, they’ve now decided to refresh the Google branding.   The company logo has been moving towards a flatter design over the years and Google’s new logo continues this trend.

Google which is now part of a new parent company Alphabet, has adopted a similar type face as its new parent, opting for a clean and completely flat design that retains the previously used colours for the lettering.  It has also redesigned the G logo and incorporated those 4 colours into it.

Google says it is rolling this design out to all of their products soon and they have already started by updating their social media profile pictures and icons.  It will take a while to get everything updated and it also has to integrate these changes into Android.  Maybe we’ll see these changes first in Android 6.0 Marshmellow?
