It’s normally around this time of the year that Google announce their latest Nexus phones or tablets. This year is a little bit different as there are strong rumours that Google will be bringing a new line of phones under the Pixel range and moving away from the Nexus branding and this is causing a bit of a stir.
Today, Google have teased that they have something new to show us on 4th October and they also prepared a new website https://madeby.google.com to launch their new devices.

From the video they have shared, it certainly looks like they are announcing at least one new phone but if rumours are correct, we could see not one but two phones announced at the event. It is tipped that we could see the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL handsets which will have 5 inch and 5.5 inch screens respectively.
After bringing us the popular Nexus 6P last year, it has also been rumoured that we could see Huawei build a new 7 inch tablet for Google, but details on this are scarce so those rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt. We could however see the new Daydream VR headset that was announced at the Google IO developer conference back in May this year.
There are lots of rumours as usual but we’ll all find out for sure when the event starts at 9.00am Pacific time (5.00pm UK time) on 4th October. If you hit the link below, you can sign up for more info and we could well see the event live streamed from the new website.
